What are same-day crowns?
Anyone who has gotten a crown knows what a long process it can be. Getting a crown often means at least two long office visits and a temporary crown for 2 to 3 weeks while you wait for your permanent restoration to be completed. Your temporary crown may or may not last for that period, which means you may need additional visits to replace or repair it. Who has time for all this with our hectic schedules?
Raleigh and Cary dentists Dr. Leo and Dr. Alex understand how valuable your time is, and that’s why they’ve been utilizing CEREC technology for more than 13 years. CEREC uses 3-D imaging to help our doctors design your tooth while you wait. Their designs are sent directly to our in-office milling machine, which fabricates a high quality porcelain crown, bridge, or veneer for you. This can all be done in one to two hours at our office, so you’ll leave the same day with a completely functioning and esthetically pleasing restoration.
CEREC makes the process of getting a crown more efficient and comfortable since the messy impressions we used in the past have been replaced by a 3-D scan of your tooth. If you need a tooth repaired, contact Tryon Family Dentistry to learn more about CEREC technology.
